VIDEO: Two Men Rescue Elk Cow With Her Head Trapped In Feed Bag

Sometimes wildlife encounters manage to somehow thread the needle between funny, dangerous, and touching all at once and this here's one of them. 

A pair of Idaho men (hey, it's just over the border!) found this cow elk standing, perplexed, with a bag over its head like a blinder.  The narrative seems clear - the hungry elk managed to find its way into a bag of feed but then couldn't get its head out.

The men laugh at first, but then it sinks in that this poor cow is at a big disadvantage, unable to see predators, feed itself, or even navigate.

So, even though it's probably not the absolute safest thing to do (decide for yourself whether the men should have attempted this or not), one of the men creeps up on the animal and quickly attempts to take the critter's hood off for her.
